MacEwan Men’s Hockey - Dan Waschuck

MacEwan College lodged an appeal of a suspension decision rendered by commissioner Bill Hendsbee in regards to the October 24, 2009 case whereby Mr. Waschuk was assessed a gross misconduct and was suspended for four games. 

The Appeal Committee, Keith Hansen, Karla Karch, and Joel Jackson, denied the appeal based on the following: 

  1. Mr. Hendsbee based his ruling on sufficient and relevant information. 
  2. Past history with the official is not relevant as there is no way of investigating these events. 
  3. The conduct of the official does not dismiss Mr. Waschuck’s actions.
