2007-08 SeasonMay 26, 2008 NAIT Women’s Basketball – Lisa Francis During the 04/05 season Ms. Francis’s participation in the 12 games she competed in was limited to only a few minutes per game due to significant foot pain. She also was unable to practice with her team. Her medical condition during the relevant time period is supported by a detailed letter from Dr. Aashif Esmail, her treating physician. Ms. Francis is seeking reinstatement of one season of ACAC eligibility. Commissioner B. Hendsbee relied upon OC, Art. I, Sec. 5, 1.3.4 which calls the appearance of a name on a game sheet as constituting "playing" therefore Ms. Francis will not have her eligibility for the 2004-05 year reinstated. Bill Hendsbee |
