Administrative Ineligibility: TKU Futsal-Woude-Stolte

( Eligibility Ruling )

2021-22 Season

May 6, 2022

Facts:

TKU’s Eden van der Woude-Stolte appeared on two Women’s Futsal game sheets on February 5, 2022. At the time, she was not included on TKU’s Eligibility List. In fact, she was not listed on an Eligibility List during the 2021-22 Futsal season. However, I have since been satisfied by the TKU Registrar that Ms. van der Woude-Stolte was otherwise eligible to participate at the time her name appeared on the game sheets in question.

Ruling:

Article I, Section 5, Rule 10.2 of the ACAC Operating Code reads as follows:

10.2. Administrative Ineligibility

Where it has been determined that a member institution is in violation of the rules of eligibility by submitting inaccurate or incomplete information on a main or supplemental eligibility form, or failing to submit eligibility forms, this error shall be deemed an Administrative Error. In the event of an Administrative Error, the Commissioner shall issue a fine of $500 for the first occurrence, with the fine increasing by $500 for each subsequent occurrence up to a maximum of $1,500 per occurrence within the same academic year. (Amended October, 2016)

Note: An occurrence should be defined by the submission of an eligibility or supplemental eligibility form regardless of the number of athletes affected. Multiple ACAC contests subject to the same error will be treated as a single occurrence. (Amended October, 2016)

TKU is hereby fined $500, payable forthwith to the ACAC Office. In addition, I confirm that Ms. van der Woude-Stolte has consumed one year of ACAC eligibility in relation to the 2021-22 Women’s Futsal season.

Sincerely,
Bill Hendsbee
ACAC Commissioner
