Fine: Admin Error - CUCA Basketball - Serge Kasinyabo

Facts:

On February 11, 2011, the above player competed as a member of the CUCA men’s basketball team in a loss to LCK. 

Unfortunately, no Supplemental Eligibility Form was completed before Mr. Kasinyabo played on February 11. As a result, he was not eligible to compete on the day in question.

Ruling:

Article I Section 5 Rule 10.2 of the ACAC Operating Code is worded as follows:

As a result of any administrative errors by the member institutions regarding student athlete eligibility the ACAC Commissioner will issue a fine of $1,500 per occurrence.

Based on the above, CUCA is assessed a $1,500 fine, payable forthwith to the ACAC Office. The result of the game referenced above shall stand.
