CASE: Game Misconduct: Failure to Leave the Ice/Gross Misconduct

A player received a “game misconduct” followed by a “gross misconduct” penalty at the 7:15 mark of the 2nd period.

RULING: 

The player was suspended for one game for failure to leave the ice surface immediately when issued a “game misconduct”. The player was also suspended for 4 additional games for actions and comments to an AAHA official that resulted in the “gross misconduct” penalty.
