CASE: Game Ejections for Fighting

At a pre-season tournament, 2 players from a men’s ACAC basketball team were ejected for fighting with 2 players from the opposing team at the 19:47 mark of the 2nd half. Two additional players were ejected for leaving the bench during the confrontation.

RULING: 

The 4 players directly involved in the fight were suspended for 2 games for their unsportsmanlike behavior. Furthermore, the 2 players who left the bench during the confrontation received a strong reprimand.
