After being ejected from the game he continued with more profanity before leaving the bench area. Article I, Section 13, Rule 9.1 of the ACAC Operating Code calls for a minimum one game suspension. It is the Commissioner’s discretion whether to impose further sanctions and he has referred to Article I Section 3 Rule 3.1, Ethics and Article I Section 3.1.3.1.1 in making his ruling that as a result of his actions, Mr. Behan is suspended for a total of six games. One game represents the automatic suspension pursuant to Rule 9.1 and an additional three games as a result of his behavior on the evening in question. In addition, he is suspended for a further two games as a result of his inappropriate and ill advised comments to the media. Following the game in question, RDC Assistant Coach Paul Rabel made some inappropriate comments to the Officials using profanity. Commissioner B. Hendsbee has also ruled on the actions of Assistant Coach Rabel. Pursuant to Rules 3.1.3 and 3.1.3.5, Mr. Rabel’s actions cannot be tolerated and as a result he is suspended for two games, to be served during RDC’s first two Conference games of 2009-10.
